Here’s an easy routine you could try on Open House Night! Set out all of your students’ name cards near the birthday bulletin board. As families come in, have each child find their name, check the birthday with their grown-up, and place the card under the correct month.
It gives families a simple job to do right away, helps you double-check birthday information, and works as a quick attendance check too. At the end of the night, any name cards still sitting out belong to students whose families weren’t able to attend. AND your birthday board is set up for the year!
