  1. Grace K.

    Extremely satisfied
Some of my students had very poor fine motor & handwriting after the Covid school years. This was a fun & engaging way to work with a group of students that needed additional handwriting practice. We looked forward to the different jokes on each page!

  2. Melissa Bancroft

This resource was SO helpful for my students. They didn’t see this booklet as ‘work’, but as a fun activity to help improve their printing skills and tell each other jokes! Thank you for your time creating this resource. I look forward to using this every year.

  3. Jordyn M.

It was SO hard to find a handwriting packet for elementary students that wasn’t “babyish” and this is was the answer to my problem. My students enjoy reading the facts of the day and talking about them with their peers in the morning. They are great discussion starters and help students work on their writing skills. Thank you!

  4. Michelle F.

My students have really been enjoying this resource. It is the first they do when they come to my room. The jokes are corny, and they laugh at the silliness. The boxes to check off their work at the bottom have been extremely beneficial for many of them as well.

  5. Taylor H.

This has been a great resource in the classroom and for practice at home. I have been looking for something just like this! What they are writing is meaningful and fun for them while getting in that handwriting practice.

  6. Claudia S.

The students (and I) love these jokes and facts of the day that help to keep my first graders practicing correct letter formation while having fun! Great resource!

  7. Kathryn L.

My students loved using this to practice their handwriting! They were very engaged because it wasn’t just words with the letter they were practicing – it has fun jokes and facts that are engaging for them to read. It makes the mundane task of practicing handwriting all the more fun!

  8. Heidi D.

This is great for practicing handwriting. My students loved the jokes and then used the jokes as a social skill activity.

  9. Mrs. Steel

My 2nd graders were to start practicing cursive handwriting during the second semester, but I could tell that they still needed print handwriting practice. My student handwriting had suffered because of online learning happening during their kindergarten and part of their first grade year. This resource was engaging and they really enjoyed telling me the different facts and jokes. I highly recommend!

  10. Ivonne O.

I used this packet for my boys to practice their handwriting during summer. My 1st grader had fun retelling jokes, while my 3rd grader learned some fun facts. Thank you!

  11. Laurie S.

So many of my kiddos never learned proper grip or handwriting techniques due to their time at home during COVID. They need to practice LOTS of writing without the added pressure of idea generation…this resource makes it FUNNY to get much needed handwriting practice! Love it!

  12. Laney T.

This is the perfect solution to handwriting practice. My students are more engaged and willing to practice this way, they love the jokes and facts!

  13. Tracy B.

The kids I work with love using this , It keeps them going on the writing and we have a little discussion at the end Thankyou

  14. Engeltje K.

My child has trouble with fine motor skills like writing, but being in grade 4 a lot of writing practice worksheets are too “babyish”. This has been the perfect solution for us. She loves telling her dad and brother the jokes and facts and practice is not a struggle anymore, which means the world to this mom!

  15. Karina R.

My students love this resource. They look forward to practicing the joke of the day. Then when almost everyone has arrived and just about done a few kids read it out loud. Since a majority of my students are ELLs, I have to explain some of the jokes but they enjoy it.

  16. Sadie W.

I love this. I use it as morning work for my 3rd graders. Half of my class is ESOL, and the majority of the other half is 2 or more grade levels below in everything 🙂 This is great for the kiddos who have poor handwriting and/or still recognize letters. Worth the money!

  17. Daysha E.

I like that students are able to practice handwriting at a letter level, word level, and sentence level. The kids enjoys the jokes.

  18. Heather H.

My students love using this resource for handwriting practice. They are no longer complaining that handwriting is for kindergarteners. The look forward to the new fact or joke each day!

  19. Jacked Up About Teaching

I’m a SPED teacher and love using this in my classroom! I noticed a lot of my students needed help with handwriting, but since they are older (3-5th grade), I didn’t want a resource that would think was “babyish”. This was perfect for my students! Thanks for a great resource!

  20. Angie C.

My first graders, although many need help still reading the jokes, love that they can work on this when they finish something else, and I love the handwriting practice!

  21. Marcy F.

My class has never complained about handwriting practice with this booklet! They love the daily jokes and we’ll be sad when we’ve completed it!

  22. Andrea W.

My students loved getting a new joke of the day, and I was thankful for the handwriting practice. The virtual time has not helped with handwriting, but thankfully this has helped.

  23. Breonna L.

In a time of Covid-babies coming to school with huge learning gaps, this resource is AMAZING! My second grade students have horrible hand-writing (largely in part to have a hybrid Kindergarten year), and so I made a Joke of the Day handwriting binder for each student. We use this as morning work, and I’m really meticulous about making them fix anything that isn’t formed correctly or isn’t touching the lines properly. My students’ handwriting has come such a long way already, plus the jokes make it super fun! I highly recommend this resource!

  24. Jessica F.

I used this as independent morning work for a student who struggles with letter formation and handwriting. He was excited to complete it every morning and I am seeing pleasing results in his handwriting.

  25. Michelle G.

I use this as an at-home resource and my students are always coming to school and telling me about the joke or fact that they wrote the night before. Thanks!

  26. Angela G.

My students started their school journey virtually, so when they returned to school, the effects could be seen in their handwriting. With no chosen handwriting program, I used this resource as an engaging way for them to improve their handwriting. They loved it!

  27. Sara H.

Handwriting is required in our daily schedule. This is a great resource to use in my guest teacher emergency sub tub. It’s easily accessible and my students loved telling jokes.

  28. Maddie B.

My students really need handwriting support, and I was looking for a resource in which they could practice in a fun way! They are enjoying the facts they learn each day, and I love that it is a great scaffolded resource for letter and sentence formation. I use it as a literacy center, and it goes smoothly in class.

  29. Danielle C.

So many of my students need handwriting practice especially after the last two years! This is such a fun and engaging way to get them to enjoy practice. My students use it as early finisher work. I let them use skinny markers or colored pencils to make it even more fun.

  30. Jackie M.

My students found this product extremely fun and engaging! They loved learning the new facts and thought the jokes were hilarious!! I loved the printing they were able to produce through this product!

  35. Grace’s Primary Finds

Love using this as a calm down activity after lunch. This gives my students practice with handwriting, which they are struggling with as they are so used to using iPads for all of their work from previous years.
