HOW TO PLAY:
Each partner gets a Toothy mat and dry erase marker. Students will take turns choosing a card. Each student who is playing the game will solve the problem on their Toothy mat or dry erase board. When all who are playing have answered the question, they compare their answers and then turn the card over to check to see if their answer is correct. Those who have a correct answer get to draw a tooth in Toothy’s mouth on their mat. If the student’s answer is incorrect, they do not draw a tooth and those who got the answer correct must explain how they got to the correct answer. Then the next student draws the next card and the process is repeated. The game is over once all 27 cards have been answered. The student with the most teeth in Toothy’s mouth is the winner of the game.

Team Engemann –
This has made a great impact in my students’ learning. Not only can they review concepts independently, but they are so engaged with the game. I don’t have to reexplain the game for every new concept, they already know how to play. Every time we play, they cheer. Thank you!!
Debbie H. –
What I love is it’s the same game with the same rules, just different math concepts. This way I don’t have to spend a lot of time teaching different games. Once they know how to play, they’ll be able to play the rest of the year.
Katie Habegger –
I’ve never been disappointed with anything form Lucky Little Learners! This bundle is no exception. My students enjoyed playing Toothy! Thank you!
Shayna C. –
I started printing these and putting them together to have all the prep work done this summer before school started. My daughter who is in kindergarten saw them and asked to do the work! She absolutely loved it!
kaitlyn L. –
It is no secret that math is my favorite and this bundle just adds to my excitement. These are amazing and I cannot wait for my upcoming students to use these just like my other students used them and loved them. These helped them so much and it helped them learn each standard with more understanding.
The Learning Patch –
These are a great resource to have for centers! My students loved the Math Toothy Center and I could feel confident knowing that they could practice and check their answers. Great for reviewing at the end of the year too!
LaDonna P. –
Fantastic resource with many different uses. Scoot is so easy using this resource. Students can put exactly what they need to practice on a ring, so this resource is nice to individualize work. Take home for practice. Use one card at a time under document camera and students can use a white board to answer. Use as an exit ticket. Make a mini poster to add to a math journal.
Brenda C. –
I have many of these kits and my students continue to love doing their Toothy activities. They are perfect for independent practice and really do a great job of keeping the kiddos engaged. Thank you!
Jennifer P. –
My class loves the all the toothy activities. I use the lower grade activities to review concepts and for differentiation. I have used all the versions in my class and they are all well received. I would recommend them all.
Qualls Classroom Joys –
I am so excited about this resource! I am currently using the different concept cards to tutor a first grade student in math and she has never been this excited and driven to work on math! I had her color the Toothy mat that best matches her likeness and she feels so accomplished each time she gets to add a tooth 🙂 Thank you for this great product!
Tiffany W. –
My students really enjoy playing the games both independently and with a partner. I appreciate that it’s something they can do independently while others are working.

These task cards have been such an incredible resource for my math block. It’s so nice to not have to explain new stations every unit! I’m so glad I decided to buy this resource and I can’t wait to buy the reading resources.
TheOneWhereDaniTeaches –
Toothy centers are a huge hit in my classroom. My students love drawing little teeth on their maps as they solve each card. We have a designated area on the carpet for toothy time and the groups love having this center in their rotation. I also use them for whole class review which is a lot of fun and engaging.
Allison McDonald –
Great for rotations, the independent checks help keep the kids responsible for what they are writing and how they are solving!
Colleen S. –
I love these cards so much I use the cards when I play board games and the kids get so excited and competitive, they have no idea there learning.
Amanda A. –
This resource is great to use with early finishers or in Math MTSS groups. It is engaging for students! Thanks for the resource!
Irma L. –
I can not say enough good things about this resource. It is such a simple game and the kids love it so much! You only have to teach it once and they can play with every concept you teach for the year! I thought that they would get bored but when I first bought it they were drawing missing and gapped teeth. It’s October now and they are drawing in fang teeth. This is now our “go to” to reinforce concepts, a simple small group re-teach while the higher students are on a more advanced topic, and independent activity for higher students while I am teaching small group instruction to students who struggle. I saw that in a different purchase it has a smartboard component and I WISH I HAD A SMARTBOARD!!! That would be so cool as a whole class warm-up but I digress. They still love it in sheet protectors. BUY IT! You won’t regret it.
Chelsea M. –
These are so fun and engaging! I love that I can match an activity with what we are working on learning at that time. Thank you!
Sierra Mitchell –
I used this with a small intervention group. The students were so engaged! I love how many options there are and it is such easy prep. Thank you!
DolanDiscoverers –
I love these! They cover all of the things I need it to, and they work great for interventions. I also use these in small group rotations for center work for my students. This is great! Highly recommend this resource! 🙂 Thank you!
Jessica N. –
This is such a fun and interactive way for the kids to learn. They love making toothy mats that look like themself. They want to use it all day. It also follows along with the state standards which is a wonderful bonus.
Jessica L. –
I LOVE these task cards! It was amazing to have so many standards covered in this purchase. Instead of having it as a station, I would print them out each week/each standard we covered and cut and tape around the classroom. My students would use the recording sheet to scoot around the room and complete during a rotation time. I would highly recommend trying that with this resource!
Pamela E. –
My students loved using this resource for our math stations. It was easy to differentiate for students as well. I loved it because I could print, laminate, and put on a ring for the students. The content is vast and covers our first grade math skills!!
Hannah H. –
These are an amazing part to my classroom. A quick small group lesson, made so easy to find and prep for. Perfect for a lower level resource for my older struggling students.
