Each student put their classroom number on each of the square’s backside. They each answered the question on each card and shared information with friends. Then each student cut out each card and stacked like cards together (All of the “Age” cards in one stack, etc.) to make 9 class piles. I modeled how to create a graph using the cards from one pile. And the eight different groups made their graphs. Then I modeled how to record each graph on large graph paper. Each group made their graph, too. Each group shared their information with some help…I made a poster with all of the graphs, “Math about Our Class,” to display.
