  57. Carrie A

I love how these challenge my students! Most of the coloring pages I see are just matching the word. That doesn’t really force students to sound out a word and read it. These make the kids read the word and be able to identify the sounds that are in the words to be able to color them correctly. The kids love them and they don’t even realize that they’re being challenged and learning.

  58. Crystal S.

Great resource for the beginning of the year review. My students enjoyed this and were very engaged. Thank you and I can’t wait to use it again next year.

  59. Nicole Weinberg

Kids at alll levels of academics were engaged and interested. I’d like to note that students at K/1 academic levels were so excited to be able to do the color by numbers like those that their on-level peers were completing that they would become frustrated by.

  60. Kristinpedia

  61. Aubrey Thompson

My students really enjoy these. I appreciate that it is an added challenge that there are similar words to really make them stop and pay attention to the words that they are using. I use these during small group rotations and they always ask if they can work on it at home.

The students always love activities like these. They are great for more reinforcement or even when working in a small group with a substitute.

Used for fast finishers or an extra practice page of homework when students were struggling to master a certain list of sight words. They liked the coloring and the visual repetition helped them make progress.
