Martin Luther King Jr. Day is one of my favorite holidays to teach my students about because of the underlying message. This lapbook incorporates the most important lessons that need to be taught when teaching your students about Martin Luther King Jr. Once your students have completed this lapbook, they will have learned everything that they need to learn about this important national holiday.

The reading levels include first grade, second grade, and third grade. The activities to go along with the rest of the lapbook can be done with the information provided in all three reading passages.

My 1st graders did amazing with this activity! It is a lot of parts, so I’d highly recommend having one created for yourself ahead of time for reference. I also made sure to give them one piece of the project at a time. They were very engaged in the activity and were very proud of their work and how well they turned out! I was too, it’s a toss up with this age sometimes, but this turned out awesome! I will definitely be using this resource for years to come!
