Description

Numberless word problems are designed to provide scaffolding that allows students the opportunity to develop a better understanding of word problems.

Word problems can be a tough concept for students to understand. Often times, students will see a word problem, pull the two numbers from the word problem, and then quickly add or subtract the two numbers without taking the time to fully process what it is that the word problem is asking.

Numberless word problems guide students through their thinking and reasoning as to why they are adding or why they are subtracting.

  4. Lynn E D. –

This is so helpful to use during math talks. It really gets the students thinking about the type of math problem that it is. I also like that the all the problems are naturally differentiated. My lower students can use single digits in the problems while my advanced students can use triple digits. And….my students love it when I use this resource with them!

  5. DORIS DAVIS –

    Excellent resource, students love it.

  6. Debra G. –

  7. Melissa J. –

  8. Stacey R. –

Can’t wait to start using these after vacation. Word problems always are hard to do and the more practice they get the better it is. Thanks!
