These writing prompts are great for my Daily 5 writing section. Students used to always have a hard time to come up with ideas. With this resources my students are on task and know what needs to be done. I really like that it includes a small word bank and check list!

Awesome resource! There are so many topics to choose from. I love that each prompt has a checklist of things to remember to include in the writing. My daughter’s weak spot is writing, so I got this for her to practice over the summer (nothing like a teacher-mom for tutoring). She grew so much in penmanship, catching editing errors and writing in general. She selected a response, then assigned me a page. The brainstorming pages helped her to slow down and actually plan vs just writing what came to mind. In my entries, I made mistake so she could be my peer editor and help me make better choices as a writer. Absolutely LOVED this resource for positive summer work with my kiddo.

I anxiously awaited the release of this product, and I am so pleased with it! We moved to standards based grading this school year, and collecting data points for the various types of writing was difficult. This covers everything, and I love the variety of the topics!
