  1. Chelsea M.

I anxiously awaited the release of this product, and I am so pleased with it! We moved to standards based grading this school year, and collecting data points for the various types of writing was difficult. This covers everything, and I love the variety of the topics! My students have enjoyed the prompts thus far. I look forward to the new releases!

  2. Casey Y.

My daughter’s weak spot is writing, so I got this for her to practice over the summer (nothing like a teacher-mom for tutoring). She grew so much in penmanship, catching editing errors and writing in general. She selected a response, then assigned me a page. The brainstorming pages helped her to slow down and actually plan vs just writing what came to mind. In my entries, I made mistake so she could be my peer editor and help me make better choices as a writer. Absolutely LOVED this resource for positive summer work with my kiddo.

  3. Jill H.

It’s so nice to see my students WANT to write in class! And to have them excited for it is even better. This resource gives my students the confidence to know that they can be great writers. I also love that the topics are broken down into months. Overall, it’s just amazing!

  4. Leticia P.

Love these slides! Love the pictures, the words that assist the students, and the checklist to make sure they did all parts! Can not wait to use them in a full year!

  5. Catherine P.

The materials are great for the transition back to in-person learning. Different writing spaces make it easy for students to feel successful at their own level. The topics are fun and students can easily find something that they can write about. Thank you for making this engaging for students and easily accessable for teachers during this busy time of year.

  6. Amy H.

Awesome resource! There are so many topics to choose from. I love that each prompt has a checklist of things to remember to include in the writing. Not once did I hear my students complain about having to write using these prompts. The growing bundle is a great deal, especially when you get in at the beginning like I did.

  7. Maria V.

These writing prompts are great for my Daily 5 writing section. Students used to always have a hard time to come up with ideas. With this resources my students are on task and know what needs to be done. I really like that it includes a small word bank and check list!

  8. Raqual C.

  24. Jessica S.

Great writing prompts! I use these are either morning work or early finishers, but they would be great for centers as well. I have recently started using them as homework for my students who need more handwriting practice. Great bundle!

  25. Jennifer C.

The fact that this product includes all styles of writing is awesome too! Thank you for making a great product!

  26. Natalie Babirad

I love this resource as supplemental material to my school’s core resource. The texts are very engaging and I find correlation for almost all standards I am trying to teach within this resource. It is so easy to follow!

I used this with a couple of my small groups and it went wonderful! It was a great resource to supplement my lessons with. This classroom material was fun, engaging, and the students expressed how much they enjoyed this activity! I would recommend this resource!

  33. Savannah M.

Absolutely obsessed with this writing bundle! I specifically love that there are seasonal prompts for each writing style – narrative, informational, and opinion, as well as free writing – for the whole year. Each graphic organizer fits so nicely with the writing and it even helps support students who need the vocabulary word banks. The checklists on the bottom are the icing on the cake!

  34. Tina Peyerk

This has been a fabulous resource! My students are becoming stronger and stronger writers and this resource has helped. Thank you!

  35. Diana Noriega

Writing is difficult for students. I like how this is broken down and how much support it gives to my students. Love the templates.

  36. Second Grade Strong

I love using these writing prompts during the Daily 5. I switch them out every month, so there are always new topics. I love the different types of lined paper that it included. This is very low prep and kid friendly!

  37. Lynette M.

I love this resource and use it in class with my second-grade students. My one suggestion is to have wider printing lines for writing.

  38. Jill G.

My students enjoy learning about the different subjects. I have recently incorporated this into our daily activities. It is a good way to learn and be able to talk about the different subjects as a class.

  39. Tiffany D.

I love this resource for my daily writing center. There were some prompts that I couldn’t use because my students didn’t have the experience to write about it, but there were still enough that they could easily do. I’m so excited about this!

  40. Catherine C.

I am SO happy I found this resource. Finding time to fit in writing has been so difficult with all I need to fit into my literacy block. This has been great to add into our intervention block and students can continue to work on their writing prompt if they finish an activity early, or as morning work. These prompts are engaging and exciting and I love how they help students organize their thoughts

  41. Catalina H.

We would complete the graphic organizer in small groups. The graphic organizer helped my students organize their thoughts so they were able to write independently.

  42. Dana B.

This resource is great for helping my apprehensive writers improve their writing! My students love the prompts and using the the key words and pictures to help them.

  43. Christine M.

Love the topics for each month. Also love there are free write passages as well as assignments. The picture and word banks are great for the students to help with creating ideas in their writing.

  44. Christine S.

This year my daughter opted to forgo the online writing curriculum we usually use. This is one of the few that I found that stays true to the “breakdown” of writing. I wanted her to continue on that particular path. She enjoys it and finds it easy to navigate.

  45. Tonya T.

love this resource! In our school district this year, we are really focusing on different types of writing. This resource is divided up not only by month (WOO HOO!!), but by genre. How organized and convenient! It is also scaffolded to differentiate between needs/abilities of students. Thank you so much!

  46. Chelsea W.

These print-and-go writing prompt pages were perfect for my students without me having to put a ton of time and effort into planning. I had students write within one genre a few times in a row, and then compare their writing with a rubric to notice how their writing grows and improves over time. The checklists at the bottom of the pages were perfect for this!

  47. Kylie Sev

I love this resource! There are so many prompts included in this bundle! I especially appreciate the different types of writing lines included. Thank you :).

  48. Nicole C.

These writing pages are something we use in my classroom every day! The additional pictures are great to start students thinking about different things they can include in their writing!

  49. Breanna S.

This resource is awesome! I like the unique writing prompts. It is definitely helpful to have a word bank and a self-check component as well. I use it along with the bulletin board rubric so the students know the expectation. So happy with this resource!

  50. Dena J.

This was perfect for my 2nd graders. Perfect way to have them start the writing process without them having to write SO MUCH.

  51. Jordan S

I love the endless supply of writing prompts that are so engaging for my students! It is so helpful having a planning page and reminders on the writing pages. I have incorporated these writing pages into my weekly ELA and use them as a rough draft.

  52. Kellie H.

My class is loving this resource so far! It’s a fabulous way to support our curriculum’s writing standards with fun and engaging topics!

  53. Kristy I.

This resource offers numerous writing prompts for children to chose from. It addresses various types of writing such as narrative, free writing, opinion, etc. Children seem to really love drawing a picture at the end of their writing.

  54. Jennifer L.

LOVE all of the options, not only for seasonal and yearly themes, but for differentiating between writing options. Thank you for this excellent resource!

  55. Ayanna H.

I loved using this resource in my writing center. It gave students more practice or writing genres taught in whole group. I could see my students progress by the end of the year in writing.

  56. Christy S.

I think the writing resource is fantastic. I really like the picture words on the side to support the writing. It saves me from the many questions asking how to spell words. I also like the area for pictures.

  57. Robin Z.

I found this resource very helpful with my third grade students. We are learning how to write a complete paragraph and having the rubric or things to look for what extremely helpful to keep them focused in their writing.

  58. Jennifer A.

My students thrived using these each week for our writing units. We would talk about what they were going to write about then we would discuss what was needed to make type of writing. They loved having the pictures and words there to help them with spelling for words that pertained to the writing.
